How Gathering Works

The gathering systems are live in the game — cross-sections, gatherers, and the stat pipeline from ore to ship all work today. What's not live yet is the walkthrough that explains them. We're still shaping how to teach this step by step. Check back soon.

Cross-sections

Scan a planet, asteroid, or nebula to see which resources live at which depth.

Gatherers

Gathering takes real time and energy. Depth, weight, and gatherer stats decide how fast a job finishes.

Quality

Every resource carries three stats. What you mine flows through every component and module you craft.
